Rick Shea is a fine songwriter and guitar player from California. He’s had a rich and varied career that included a seven year stint with Dave Alvin.   I had the pleasure of playing a gig with Rick recently.

The World’s finest hand built guitar amplifiers by Rob Wienbrock Wienbrock Amplification based in Sowerby Bridge West Yorkshire. I enthusiastically use and endorse Rob’s amps. He built me a custom one-off  ’Red Palomino’ 35 watt Head with matching cab (both in red tolex). The amp features on ‘The Good Gentleman’s Tonic’ Mmmmmm……..absolute tone heaven!

Phoenix FM is a great ‘volunteer run’ local radio station for whom we did a live session with Bee Jasko.

Bacca Pipes Folk Club in Keighley. What a wonderful gem of a place. A tiny cellar venue where tradition (as in acoustic only) is the key…. with no PA, and no gadgets…. just a man (or woman of course) and his/her instrument/voice.

Refreshing…..

Open-minded, lovely people.

The Durbervilles…….what a bunch of good chaps! Apart from being a groovy folk/roots outfit in their own right, they have their own show on BBC Radio Leeds on a Sunday night. We were delighted to do a live session for them and they give us constant exposure. Marvellous!

Andrew Edwards at BBC Radio Leeds has been good to us by playing songs from TGGT, having us in the studio to play live and he is constantly plugging the record, the live shows and me personally as an artist.

Good Man!!

Top chap Phil Brown  does the excellent Friday night acoustic Roots music programme ‘The Drift’ on BBC Radio Lancashire where he has played tracks from TGGT and had us live on the show. He also runs a fantastic Whistle shop called the Big Whistle .

‘THE’ local music club venue The Trades Club , long established and worth a visit. We’ve done many gigs there over the years.
